The Serpent's Nest

Visualized as a colossal, ominous black wasp, its body a grotesque amalgamation of insectoid anatomy and a skull, its chitinous exoskeleton gleaming with an iridescent malevolence, and its vacant eyes deep enough to penetrate the essence of its worshipers; the Ole Oppressor looms as a symbol of dread and darkness in the Irëdulian pantheon. His sinister visage casting a shadow that unsettles even the bravest souls.

The manifestation of the Ole Oppressor in Irëdeule is driven not by benevolence nor by duty, but by personal interest in the Trial Beasts he birthed during Irëdeule’s first centuries, which he plots to unleash by means of his tyrannic followers.

As the idol of cunning and malevolence, Muohr aligns with the underhanded, the morally ambiguous, and those brave enough to pursue their ambitions. His attention falls upon those who are willing to tread the treacherous path of domination and control, reveling in the intricacies of power plays. But Muohr’s favor does not come without fine print, his influence inevitably twists the minds of his followers, turning them into zealous fanatics or power-hungry megalomaniacs, and his aid often binds its recipients to the Ole Opressor’s perverse agenda. After all, both master and servant pursue dominance.

Temples to the Muohr are rare, hidden in the shadows and concealed from prying eyes. Private shrines, cloaked in darkness and secrecy, serve as altars of supplication for aspiring dictators and absolutists, there the chilling presence of the black wasp is encased within gilded, transparent orbs. In rural settings, black candlewax forms hive-like structures meant cradle the terrible avatar. Regardless of  the backdrop, Muohr openly offers power in exchange for loyalty and submission to his sinister will.

His Blessing, a harbinger of twisted ambition, has left a trail of bloodshed and destruction, passing from one hand to another, each bearing the curse of eventually meeting a violent end. In its wake, the deity’s influence tightens its grip, ensnaring the hearts of those who dare seek its traitorous power. Olamme, Muohr’s Aspect, stands permanently petrified in the Quietus Fane… watching time pass by, his heart becoming darker than his master’s.
