Thandalm, the vigilant keeper and the eternal champion, stands as holy patron of protectors, whether they may be as reliable as a ranger or paladin, or as adaptable as a mercenary or warrior. Known as The Everwatch Sentry, he commands dominion over the domains of vigilance, and steadfast resolve.
Regardless of being considered stubborn (or pigheaded), The Sentry’s followers are characterized by their draconian adherence to true lawfulness and their established axioms; they exemplify true commitment to their chosen paths, and they embody unshakable fearlessness and resolution. Thandalm’s congregation largely comprises individuals with little to no inclination for itinerancy, as they are commonly tied to guardianship and law enforcement. However, on occasion, battle-hardened wandering warriors might align themselves with Thandalm, as part of a personal pantheon or of their self-image.
In iconography and theological history, Thandalm receives the depiction of an animate suit of plate mail bereft of a traditional head, instead bearing an ethereal and luminous golden eye which hovers over the armor’s neck piece. This unique representation— a visual manifestation of his unblinking vigil; elicits a sense of awe and trepidation in all who have encounter it.
Thandalm does not manifest through grand buildings or ornate temples, but rather through an ubiquitous, yet modest, network of small sacred markers positioned across Irëdulian outposts, city walls, entrances, battlements, and keeps. The way these shrines subtly dot the urban landscape warrants they are dully accessible to every worshipper of The Everwatch Sentry. The markers take diverse forms: from simple symbols suspended over thresholds, to intricate paintings of his all-seeing eye adorning the ceilings of gatehouses or defensive turrets; each one serves as a beacon for those who revere Thandalm’s ideals and offering a haven where they can find solace, strength, and the conviction to stand vigilant against the tides of chaos.
Celtam, a female human represents The Everwatch Sentry as his Aspect. Trying to uphold the principles of her master deity, she resolutely guards the entrance of the Quietus Fane, posing her presence as the fist line of defense for the Irëdulian sanctuary, and as a bastion against any force that may seek to breach its hallowed gardens and halls. A particularity sets Celtam apart— her watchful eyes are infused with the same luminous golden hue that defines her patron’s iconic gaze.
